Word Vault is an app designed for bookworms, students, language learners, and anyone seeking to enhance their vocabulary.

Ever search the definition of a word, only to forget it later? Then Word Vault is the app for you.

How to use the Main App.

🔍 Look up any word instantly using the search bar in the search page.
❤️ Save words to your Favourites when viewing a definition to build up your favourites list.
📊 Track your frequently searched words and how many new words you are coming across in the analytics page.
🧠 Practice your saved words to embed them into your memory.

The Share Sheet is an Apple feature that enables information to be shared from one app to another. Word Vault uses the Share Sheet to provide definitions.
To use the Share Sheet: Highlight a word → tap Share → click on Word Vault → retrieve the definition & add it to your favourites, if you wish.

Siri is Apple’s intelligent assistant. Word Vault also uses Siri to provide definitions.
To use Siri with Word Vault you have a couple of options:

Or type to Siri
Trying to activate Word Vault by speaking to Siri may not work as Siri can misinterpret spoken commands.

Word Vault has two Siri Commands "Get definition Word Vault" & and "Get and save definition Word Vault".
"Get definition Word Vault" returns the definition you request.
"Get and save definition Word Vault" returns the definition you request and saves it to your favourites.

You can activate Word Vault by adding our shortcuts to your Control Centre and simply tapping them when you need them.
First, you will need to add our shortcuts to your Shortcuts app. To do this open the app, click the + button on the top right of the screen and scroll down until you find Word Vault and then tap on the shortcuts to add them.
Then to add the shortcut to your Control Centre open up your Control Centre → press the plus button → Add control → search for Shortcuts → click Shortcut → click choose → add the Word Vault shortcuts.

Once you have added the Word Vault Shortcuts you can use them as you need.

Type to Siri "Get definition Word Vault” or "Get and save definition Word Vault”, and when prompted, enter the word you would like defined.
To type to Siri instead of speaking to Siri. Go to your iPhone Settings → Accessibility → Siri → then turn on the “Type to Siri” feature. For more information on Siri, click here.
