How can I get a definition that I see in another app?
Share Sheet:- If you see a word you want to look up, select the word and tap on it. When a toolbar appears, tap Share and then select Word Vault from the list of apps.
Siri:
- Add the “Get definition Word Vault” and “Get and save definition Word Vault” shortcuts to your Control Centre and use them whenever you need to get a definition.
- Type to Siri: “Get definition Word Vault” or “Get and save definition Word Vault”.
- Please note that activating Word Vault by speaking to Siri may not always work, as Siri can misinterpret spoken commands. For best results, use the shortcuts or typed commands above.
How can I save a word?
- To save a word, press the heart icon in the top-right corner of the screen when a definition is displayed.
- If using Siri, run the “Get and save definition Word Vault” shortcut or type “Get and save definition Word Vault” to Siri.
What is the dictionary source?
- Word Vault uses dictionary data from Wiktionary, which is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 License.
- The original Wiktionary content has been modified for clarity, formatting, and consistency with the features of this app. In accordance with the license, these modifications are also shared under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
